Duratuf X-Volt Insulating Mats-Detailed Technical Specifications

Electricity powers most of the businesses and commercial spaces across the globe. A shock-free workstation has become a necessity in many organizations. There are safety standards that companies have to adhere to when it comes to ensuring the safety and security of the workplace & the employees. One such product is X-Volt insulating mats. These are electrical insulating mats of premium quality and are available for purchase from Duratuf online store as well as in bulk quantities. This type of electrical rubber mat is specifically designed for stringent industrial conditions. In this article, we will be discussing the X-Volt electrical rubber mat and its detailed technical specifications.

Working Voltage

X-Volt IS 15652 insulation mat is available in three types depending on the working voltages. The three types of electrical mat are Class A insulation mat that is ideal for use up to working voltage of 3.3 kV. Similarly, the Class B electrical mat can be used for working voltages of up to 11.0 kV. The third type of X-Volt insulating mat is the Class C electrical mat, which can be used for working voltage of up to 33.0 kV.

Thickness

The thickness of the three types of electrical rubber mat varies, with Class A type of insulation mat having a thickness of 2.0 mm whereas Class B type of insulation mat comes with a thickness of 2.5 mm. Class C type of X-Volt electrical mat features a thickness of 3.0 mm.

Size

X-Volt electrical rubber mat comes in two standard sizes depending on the thickness of the insulation mat. The standard size is 1-metre wide x 10 meters/ 2 meters long for an electrical mat with thickness 2.0mm, 2.5mm, and 3.0mm. This type of mat is also made available in custom size too depending on customer requirements.

Di-Electric Strength

X-Volt insulation mat comes with enhanced dielectric strength which is 30.0 kV, 45.0 kV, and 65.0 kV depending on Class A, Class B, and Class C classes of X-Volt electrical mat. Di-electric strength is the electrical strength of the insulator which plays a vital role in ensuring the protection of the workplace from electric shocks.

Material Composition

The X-Volt electrical rubber mat is composed of a mix of both PVC and synthetic rubber polymers. The elastomer used is free from any insertion.

Tensile Strength and Elongation at Break

This type of insulation mat features a tensile strength of 15N/mm2 (min.) which provides superior resistance for the material from breaking under tension. This IS 15652 insulation mat also features a superior elongation break of 250% (min.).

Water-Resistant & Flame Retardant

X-Volt electrical mat is water-resistant, flame retardant, acid resistant, alkali resistant, and oil resistant.

Conclusion

X-Volt electrical rubber mat features a dotted anti-skid design that prevents users from unexpected slippages. These electrical insulating mats are ERDA-approved as insulating mats for electrical purposes.
